As a nurse practitioner working in emergency medicine, I have seen the growing population that is unable to be seen by their primary care providers in a timely manner. This causes the patients to wait hours in the emergency department for a simple complaint with a quick and easy resolution. In addition, patients are paying exceedingly high co-pay and medical bills for these unnecessary visits to the ER. We are excited to offer an alternative approach to health care.

While we all require health insurance to ensure coverage for a catastrophic illness or injury, having options for day-to-day health management is becoming more challenging. Primary care offices are impacted with the number of patients and the growing population of chronically ill patients. It is becoming the norm to wait 3-4 weeks for a simple doctor’s visit. Additionally, insurance companies are becoming more and more expensive and difficult to navigate. Given these challenges the trend is leaning back to good old-fashioned medicine. Patients want the time with their provider to discuss their needs without feeling rushed or needing multiple appointments to discuss more than one issue.
